themes

BEYOND THE PILOT

informatics and innovation programs, initiatives and technologies that are actually deployed and in use, not just planned, from core systems and information management through to AI and other emerging tech. The common thread is real implementations and outcomes, not roadmaps.

LESSONS FROM THE FIELD

Abstracts on initiatives that stalled, underperformed, or needed a rethink, and what came out of it. Practitioner and vendor (with their client) case studies welcome, as well as research and evaluation findings that challenge the accepted wisdom.

SAFE, SECURE, ACCOUNTABLE

Safety and cybersecurity in digitally-enabled care, the clinical safety and decision-support questions clinicians live with day to day, and the governance and accountability questions that go with it (who owns the risk when a system or algorithm gets it wrong).

CARE BEYOND HOSPITAL WALLS

Digital health and informatics in primary care, allied health and community settings, including smaller and resource-constrained services.

THE LONG GAME

Future-proofing the health system: environmental and financial sustainability, interoperability, connected care policy, and workforce impact of automation.

CONSUMER VOICES

Abstracts led or co-authored by patients, carers, consumers and consumer advocates on their experience of digital health, including codesign, patient-generated data, and digital equity.
